When people discover España Discovery the first time, they often wonder if it's a guide, an app, or a traveler network. The answer is simple: it's all of those things at once.

What is España Discovery?
Espana Discovery is a network of hosts located throughout Spain who welcome travelers in motorhomes. Among them, you’ll find wineries, cheese makers, olive oil mills, farms, artisan producers, and restaurants that allow you to park and explore what they do.
It is neither a campground nor a booking platform, but rather a different way to travel in motorhomes on trust, respect, and support for local businesses.
What elements make up the España Discovery ecosystem?
España Discovery of four main elements that work together throughout the trip.
The Host Network
It is the heart of the project. These are the local businesses that open their doors to travelers and share what they do.
The printed guide
Includes detailed information on hosts, maps by area, GPS coordinates, and the Golden Rules of the community. The guide serves as the traveler’s traditional ID. After purchasing the book, you’ll also receive an immediate digital link via email, allowing you to access the app without waiting for the physical guide to arrive.
The España Discovery App
The app is the digital version of the guidebook and a key tool for your trip. It lets you navigate directly to your chosen stopover, check up-to-date information, and plan routes right from your phone. The book is ideal for planning; the app is essential for traveling.
Digital ID
Digital ID is your digital identification within the community. It's located in the app, in the+INFO section, and serves as the proof of identity you use to identify yourself to hosts when you're traveling without a physical book.
Do I need the book to use España Discovery?
That's not necessary. You can choose between two options: a printed guide + access to the app for €37, or the digital version for €32, which includes full access to the app and a Digital ID. Both options include access to the host network.
How do I access the app?
If you have the printed guide, simply scan the QR code included on the maps in the book and sign up using the same email address you used for the purchase. You can then create a password and log in. Important: After purchasing the book, you’ll also receive an immediate link via email, allowing you to use the app without having to wait for the guide to arrive at your home.
If you purchased the digital version, you'll receive a personal link via email after purchase. Access is activated within 3 to 4 hours at most.
Do I have to download an app?
No. España Discovery directly using PWA technology in your browser via a personal link you receive after making a purchase,without needing to download it from the App Store or Google Play. We recommend add it to your phone’s home screen to use it like a regular app.
How does a tour with España Discovery work?
Choose a host from the guide or the app and contact them via WhatsApp before you arrive. WhatsApp is the recommended channel because many hosts run family-owned farms or may face language barriers, and this method allows them to translate messages easily.
In some cases, you may not receive an immediate response or the host may not be available on WhatsApp. If this happens, you can also try contacting them by email or phone using the contact information provided in the host's profile.
Espana Discovery does not function as a reservation system and does not require formal confirmation. The usual procedure is to notify them of your arrival and continue on your way as normal to your chosen destination.
If parking isn't possible or the host isn't available, you'll always find another nearby stopover or motorhomes service area motorhomes the +INFO section – Motorhome Service Areas section within the app.
When you arrive, Show your physical guidebook or your Digital ID if you're using the app, as proof of identification. Afterward, you can enjoy the experience, which may include local products, tastings, or tours related to the host's business.
Is it mandatory to buy something from the host?
No. Parking is free, and there is no obligation to make a purchase.
"However, every host is part of the network because they have something to offer: wine, cheese, olive oil, cuisine, or artisanal products. That's why many travelers choose to show their appreciation for the hospitality by voluntarily supporting local businesses."
This gesture is not mandatory, but it is part of the project's philosophy and helps keep the network alive. España Discovery based on a clear balance: hosts offer a free place to stay, and travelers discover and support the local economy.

Yellow stars indicate top recommendations from the editorial team. Gray and blue pins represent geographic areas within the guide.
