Guide to Accessing and Adding to the Home Screen

If you've purchased the digital version of * España Discovery*, this article will walk you through how to access it and, most importantly, how to add it to your smartphone's home screen so you always have it handy during your trip.

You've purchased the digital version: How do I access the app?

Within 3 to 6 hours, you'll receive an email with a personalized link.

Once you receive it, open the app using the link provided.

The ED app uses PWA (Progressive Web App) technology. In practice, it offers an experience very similar to that of a native app on your smartphone, but with one key difference: you don’t need to download it from Google Play or the App Store. You can access it from a browser (Chrome, Safari, or any other) and add it to your phone’s home screen to use it just like any other app.

1. Create your profile by filling in the required fields: Name, Email (use the same email address you used to purchase the app), and create your password.
2. We'll activate your app as soon as possible.

What are the differences between a PWA and a native app?

The main difference is that you don't have to search for " España Discovery " on Google Play or the App Store or download an app from a store. You can access it directly through the link you received by email.

In addition, updates are performed directly on the platform, so you don't have to download a new version of the app or update it.

And most importantly: once you add ED to your smartphone's home screen, you'll have an icon next to your other apps, and you'll be able to access it directly.

Add the ED App to your home screen!

This is the step we recommend you take.

When you add it to your home screen, the ED App will appear alongside the rest of the apps on your phone, so you won't have to search for the link in your email every time you want to use it.

On some phones, the browser itself will automatically show you the option to add it to your home screen. If it doesn't appear, you can do so by following these instructions.

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open España Discovery in Chrome using the custom link you received.
2. Tap the 3-dot menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner.
3. Select “Install and create shortcut.”
4. If “Install” appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions. 5. If “Create Shortcut” appears, select it and then tap “Add.”

On iPhone (Safari)

1. Open España Discovery in Safari using the custom link you received.
2. Tap the three dots next to the navigation bar.
3. Tap “Share.”
4. Tap “See More.” Scroll through the options and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
5. Tap “Add.”
If the “Open as Web App” option appears, you can enable it so that España Discovery opens as a standalone app.

España Discovery It will then appear as just another icon on your iPhone's home screen, alongside your other apps.

Do I need to download the ED App from Google Play or the App Store?

No! España Discovery uses PWA technology, so you don't need to download it from Google Play or the App Store.

Just use the personalized link you've already received by email, open the app, and add it to your smartphone's home screen.
Once you've done that, you'll have España Discovery right there alongside your other apps, ready to accompany you on your trip.
